Volunteer Position
RWC is seeking a Women’s Support Worker to join our team in northern France, starting in early October 2018.
The Refugee Women’s Centre is a small and dynamic team of female volunteers, working in informal refugee camps in northern France to support women and family units. Our focus is on psychosocial, administrative and material aid.
We are looking for an adaptable individual with experience in working with displaced women, particularly in the charity sector, to commit to a minimum of ten months on the ground with us. The volunteer will be focusing on supporting vulnerable women through administrative casework and organisation of activities and workshops jointly with the rest of the team. The candidate should be able to approach the position with a long term perspective, with a trial period of two months to adapt to and become trained in the work. We embrace female or non-binary people of all ages (over 18 years) and nationalities. Our working language is English.
